Accommodation, food and travel subsidy

We will pay 75% of your travel costs but to a maximum of 150 euros. We cannot pay for a flight if you can reach the destination without a plane in less than 40 hours. For the accommodation costs it depends on the country where you come from. We believe that for some participants coming from some European countries it is more difficult to afford 100 euros for accommodation costs. Therefore the accommodation fee is 100 or 60 euro depending from the country where you come from. Food (vegetarian/vegan) will be provided by the organization.

Insurance

For the seminar, we booked a civil accountability insurance and physical insurance for all participants. Laptops and cellphones will not be insured so please consider properly before you bring expensive property to the conference.

We also will not cover your travel insurance. However, this is usually included in your train, bus or interrail ticket, but please check carefully beforehand.

Travel information

Arrival station: Olen (Belgium)
Arrival on July 1th - between 10.00 and 13.00
Departure on July 6th - from 9.30 in the morning

By bus Travel to Antwerp or Brussels. From many European countries there are good connections to these cities (e.g. www.eurolines.com) and from these cities you can easily travel by train to Olen. In Belgium you don't need to book your trainticket in advance and there is at least one connection every hour.

Antwerp – Olen: 40 minutes
Brussels – Olen: 70 minutes

By train You can travel to Olen. There is a good connection to Olen from big stations in Belgium: Antwerp, Hasselt, Brussels. For travelling by train check the ‘interrail global ticket’. With this ticket you choose 5 days to travel within a time range of 10 days for a good price.

Antwerp is in Dutch: Antwerpen (Choose station Antwerpen-centraal or Antwerpen-Berchem)
Brussels is in Dutch: Brussel (Choose station Brussel-Centraal, Brussel-Noord (= Brussel-Nord) or Brussel-Zuid (= Brussel-midi))
Olen is the same in Dutch: Olen
